Holiday Party Stories
I was listening to the radio on my way to work the other morning and the topic of discussion was wild holiday party stories. One fella called in saying that his office party had been the week before, and he and his female boss had gotten so rip-roaring drunk that theyd’ slept together. His boss hadn’t come in to work yet but was due in that morning. He was so stressed out about it he was calling in to the radio show to ask advice. Should he pretend it never happened? Should he approach her and try to discuss the incident? He was mortified, at any rate.
I had to get in to work so I didn’t get to hear any other stories, but I googled about wild holiday parties and boy, there are some doozies! One woman came out of the bathroom at her holiday party and danced the night away with her dress tucked into the back of her panties. Another fell down the stairs and broke her foot. Yet another was so sick that her boss had to crawl under the stall to get her out of the bathroom, where she’d spent the majority of the evening.
Many moons ago I came out of the bathroom with a long strip of toilet paper trailing from my shoe. Way cool. Another time I was also at a New Years Eve party where I walked in on a couple going hot and heavy at it in the bathroom while both of their spouses mingled downstairs. Oops. I quietly backed off, closed the door, and had a spritzer.
Christmas is behind us, but New Years Eve is coming up. So in the spirit of the holiday, I’d like to dig up some fun stories here.
So what about you? Do you have any wild, funny, sexy or awkward holiday party stories to share? If so, share it in comments and enter to win a free copy of any book in my backlist. The winner will be announced tomorrow night by 8 pm.

Good morning Tracy,
Can’t think of any wild holiday story at the moment. Great blog though.

I agree with Michelle…what a great blog! Unfortunately, I am a very boring partier and have nothing interesting to contribute. Sure can feel the pain of that guy on the phone though…probably wondering if he’s still got a job. Hope she wasn’t grading his performance!

The boss took all of us out to a Japanese steakhouse fof a holiday lunch this year. Cool, right?
Wrong. Everyone who had the sakura sauce got food poisoning. Including yours truly.

I leaned on a sink, dropped my cell phone in the water, tried to get it out,(wasn’t quite steady on my feet) got the cell phone, fell against the sink and it came off the wall.
Try to explain that to your hostess
We’re still friends, she got a new bathroom out of it, but oh my.

I think my favorite New Years eve was probably 2005…a ton of my friends from High School got together and we had a mini-reunion party in a barn. Completely silly, completely random, but it was one of the best nights and I still think back fondly. Something about singing 90’s songs at midnight with your old friends can always make you feel happy

This holiday season has been my favorite. I’ve had plenty of time off of work, spent time with friends and my daughter, was able to do a few things I’d been wanting to do, and I just celebrated my birthday. Things all came together beutifully for me this year, I’ve gotta admit.
