Holiday Themed Stories

Holiday/Special Occasion Stories

Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas…
Do you love these holidays/occasions and want to write a romance revolving around any of these special days (or others)? We'd love to read those stories.

Holiday stories are always being accepted at LSB.

All holiday submissions must be submitted, at minimum, at minimum 3 months before the specific holiday. Earlier is always better, of course.

Submission requirements:
• Full manuscript in Arial, 12pt saved as RTF
• Length: 15k Minimum – 60K (flexible but 15k minimum)
• Genres: All
• Heat Levels: All (Full Heat Level Info list in Submission Guidelines on our site)

Sidenotes:
• All stories must have an HEA
• Can be part of an existing series.
• Original story ideas preferred, though previously published works will be considered at our discretion (for in-house authors)

Deadline Schedule for each Holiday/Special Occasion every year. Submissions must be received no later than...

For Canada Day – April 1st 2012 (release by July 1 2012)

For 4th of July – April 1st 2012 (release by July 4 2012)

For Canadian Thanksgiving – July 1st, 2012 (release by Oct 14 2012)

For Halloween – July 1st 2012 (release by Oct 31 2013)

For American Thanksgiving – Aug 1st, 2012 (release Nov 22 2012)

Hanukkah – Aug 1st (release late Nov/Early Dec 2012 )

For Christmas/Kwanza – Sept 1st (release within Dec 2012)

For Valentine’s Day – Nov 1st 2012 (release Feb 14 2013)

For St. Patrick’s Day – Dec 1st (release March 17 2013)

For April Fool’s Day – Jan 1st 2013 (release by April 1 2013)

For Easter – Jan 1st 2013 (release by March 31 2013)

For Cinco de Mayo – Feb 1st 2013 (release by May 5 2013)

If there’s any special occasion not listed above, please feel free to let me know/mention it and I can add it to the list.

Send submissions to submissions@liquidsilverbooks.com with Holiday & Book Title in the Subject line.

Any Thoughts/Questions, email me at tracey@liquidsilverbooks.com

I look forward to reading your Holiday stories!

*permission to forward*

Both, and more We plan on these being multi-year, but of course we may add more and drop ones which prove to be unsuccessful.

I'll ask Tracey to adjust the dates, obviously we do not need submissions of finished ms eight months before the holiday/event. We want to announce subs calls eight months in advance to give you guys five months notice to write something for submission three months before the planned release period.

For holidays/events which change date from year to year, assume subs must be in three months in advance each year.

Re: Holiday Themed Stories

Just out of curiosity, can we do work for Mardi Gras or is it just for the holidays mentioned?

You can certainly do a Mardi Gras story, we've just picked the "big" ones and posted dates. Oh, and holiday stories don't have to be JUST for the holidays either.

Re: Holiday Themed Stories

Hi Tracey,

what about romances around the Family Day Stat Holiday? I've got a couple of ideas for it and would love to see what some of the amazing talent comes up with
