Silver Lining Tarot August 6, 2006
Such a day! My new computer is up and running (thanks to YeDragon) and my old computer is turning to ash in the corner. Had a bit of a thermal issue.
Incidently, the stew is great. Now...on to this week's reading! The Tower: Symbol of erect and triumphant penis. Passion and sensuality. Well, of course! Welcome to Liquid Silver! This is the place to find erect and triumphant penises, passion and sensuality. Did I mention this place publishes erotic romances? Go figure. Strength (my favorite image in the deck). Affection and getting carried away by feelings have the power to fight brute force. Whatever that mean. Go ahead. Get carried away by your feelings and read ebooks. Fight against the brute force of conformity and the "oh, you read those kind of books" mentality. Got book? Make it a Liquid Silver ebook! Justice. Fortune influences loving justice. Committment and trust are the personal qualities necessary for a satisfactory solution to the problem. Works for me! The Norse Tarot: To the reader whose loved one is leaving for military service really soon: he/she will return--with some great adventure stories-- The first card is "fara i viking" which is the "torn away from loved ones for duty, honor and glory" card. I get this quite a bit when I read for young men (and then find out they've just enlisted or something). It represents temporary separation and joyful reunions. Okay...this card does not come up very often. It's me. My card. The Seeress who spoke the Voluspa to the gods--and gave them their prophecy. Because of her the olds gods played hard, loved hard and died harder. When this card comes up, I know the message is very important. I think it's for the reader who has a loved one leaving soon. He/She will be OK! Odin on the World Tree. Such a crazy god, that Odin. He sacrificed himself to ummm...himself. I guess he wasn't happy with chickens or baskets of fruit. Anyhoooo...while he was doing the old "hanged man" bit, he had a vision and saw twigs and branches forming symbols on the ground. He grasped the meaning of what he saw and gave humankind the gift of Runes. The written language. Quite prophetic that Odin and writing come up since I'm struggling with the last line in my edits for "Devil's Food Kate" which is Odin's story in my Teaching Old Gods New Tricks series. This card is chock full of symbols that represents smart moves and wisdom. Street smarts and book smarts. I'd say that this week's overall message is to enjoy, without guilt, your erotic romance ebooks. Stand up against your detractors and if you find an erect and triumphant penis, please do let us know. And again...to the reader whose stressing over an impending departure: Your loved one will return safely. Until next week, I wish you many happy downloads... Darragha
