Darragha -- first, thanks for your wonderful day at my group. Everyone enjoyed "meeting" you, and I appreciate you taking the time to stop in.

Now, question for you: I've just started a new novel project that I was overjoyed with, and happy-happy floating while I basked in my "inspiration" for the project. Yesterday I took a pretty hard slam from a few folks who feel I am exploiting said inspiration. It really took the wind from the sails, and I'm feeling so torn about continuing, despite loving the project. Any advice and/or insight to offer?

I just returned home after a fabulous adventure with my Icelandic love and after a nap, I shall consult the oracle. Thordi asked me to give him a reading yesterday as we sat in a Starbucks. My family and I are exhausted, but so happy to have met with our friend yesterday.

Your gut instincts are telling you to write as you wish, aren't they? If you do anything else, you will really piss off your muse. Right now, you may feel as though the light of inspiration is too bright to be shown in all it's glory, but over the winter, as you write this story, you will find that the biting chill of the season will temper your flames and the finished product will be absolutely amazing.

And you are going to piss a few folks off. Ignore your detractors and write from your heart. You can't please everyone all the time.

In the long run, this project is going to pull you several directions--not all of them pleasant. Books written from the heart are rarely comfortable to create.

You've struck gold--and the punishments others may toss at you are fleeting and will be short-lived.

Thanks so much, Darragha. I had a feeling this book was going to be one of those that would be a cornerstone of sorts. Amazing how something that starts out SO strong and positive and glowing can be suddenly steeped in anxiety by a few words of bitterness and pettiness. Hi Darragha, I've always enjoyed you since sharing a workshop with you, and of course have read several of your books

I wondered if when you get a chance, you could do a reading? I don't mind if you post it here. The last 10 months have been...challenging in my personal life. I went to see someone that really moved out a lot of my negative energy and sadness, and I've noticed the changes. But there are still some things hanging on.

I wondered if you could help me pinpoint that.

Oh wow, thank you Darragha

My mom passed away in April, and I carried around so much grief it was making me sick inside. I went to see some wonderful people who helped move out my negative energy and I couldn't believe the difference. Three weeks ago, I asked for my mom's ashes from my dad - because our relationship is so strained I couldn't stand him having them over there. I wondered if I was picking up on my mom's energy - which would make sense if that is the wounded soul you're referring to.

Yes, 2006 was absolute hell - and I've vowed to myself to make 2007 a healing year - so I'm trying to make sure I'm paying attention to how things are affecting me, and of course those energy vampires.

You have a wonderful gift, thank you - I needed to hear this today

I see you going to battle, way over-armed--and it's not to attack. It's all in defense. I think you had a rather embarrassing or "d'oh" moment recently and it's plagueng you a bit. You ever hears, "This too shall pass?" It will. It has!

You are also, due to your own efforts, exactly where you need to be. Now, open your eyes! There's treasure all around you. All you have to do is reach for it

Do not accept second best. You have a goal--and it is lofty, indeed--but it is the correct path for you. Your selflessness may hinder your progress. Take a moment and take some time for yourself, then begin again. Along the way you are going to help someone very close to you by setting a solid example. Do not give that person money (bail money?). Give that person an opportunity to help him/herself.

It appears that you are ready to move on from your current life. You may be bringing everyone with you, but your move is a good one. I don't know if it's career or relationship or home, but you are at the start of a very, very successful venture. A new business? A new relationship? The waters are a bit scary at the deep end, but don't worry! You have a solid, swift vessel under your feet. Your map is well-drawn and except for the words "here be monsters" (which you can ignore!), you have nothing to worry about.

And yet, that actually does, too - I'm usually the one the kids come to when they need money, and maybe they just need to learn how to bail themselves out. :-) Glad to hear I'm on the right track - tough times make you doubt yourself, and hearing encouragement is definitely a huge help. Jade: Gosh, I don't expect anything in return. But trying to think with my marketing hat on...tell all your friends to buy my books! How's that?

Jade has lots of choices to make. Best choose wisely! I don't know your "relationship status" and this card usually pops up when a woman is trying to make a decision about "the guy" based on "who's the most handsome." Yanno...go for the frog. He'll spend more time looking at you than himself in the mirror. Be sure to base your decision on more than physical appearance. May not be about men. Could be about a new car!

I see military service. At least that's what this card usually means when it pops up. Someone you love is going to Iraq? He/she wants to stay with you/at home, but is being literally pulled away by the call of duty. It could also mean separation from a loved one due to work or education. Overall, it's not a card of "ending" it's a card of "waiting." Waiting is OK--because the person will return home safely.

The diplomacy card popped up. It can mean that you're bored, that you've met your match, that you are settling a dispute with a neighbor in an amicable fashion or that you are going to mediate between two parties in a quarrel. This card generally shows up when someone is going to start a new venture--fools rush in--and all that. Take your time. Take a breath. Shake it off. Okay...now, rejoice!

This is incredible. I date a guy who works out of the states (a lot). He's an interpreter - so he's often in the middle of sticky situations and that's about all I can say. He just recently left and it has been a bit difficult for us to say bye this time. (Glad for the positive return info.)

You are about to be tempted. How so, you ask? I'm almost inclined to say that a young man is going to court you. And before you have a chance to say, "I'm married" you are going to look at him and think, "yummy." It could also have to do with graduate school. Are you going to graducate school? You may be solicited to attend somewhere you have not considered an option before. Here's the deal with temptation...don't trust it. It looks GREAT, but ends up being more hassle than it's worth. That all sounds wonderful, Dar. On the 1st one, there is one grad school that I never considered and my prof said she could pull some strings to get me in. Brown. Never even crossed my mind. But I'm thinkin, "eh, maybe I won't go to grad school."
