The whole series sound fabulous -- and Chinese/Japanese gangs are the big thing in contemporary thrillers now (Neon Dragon by John Dobbyn, pub date 6/07 and Barry Eisler's John Rain series). The San Fran atmosphere will make it so very cool.

I'm going to look into that Neon Dragon the title grabbed me right off. Thanks for mentioning it.

Chinatown Beat recently out by Henry Chang is pretty cool. I don't much care for his choppy style but I LOVE the rich cultural references.

Anne and I really love Alliances because there's so much snarky bada$$ Liu Sakurai goodness involved. He and Shu are quite a trip when they get together.

Mmm, I would like to meet him myself. Luc is going to be busy for awhile in several other books. I don't know about his moonlighting escapades.
